OUR HISTORY. OUR PRESENT. OUR FUTURE.
CLEVELAND HEROES PROJECT
The Cleveland Heroes Project is a collaboration between Cleveland School of the Arts, the North Coast Chapter of the Tuskegee Airmen, and Cleveland Hopkins Airport. Featuring a mural created by CSA students, it honors the courage and legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen—heroes who transformed both military and civil rights history. The mural was created by Linear Creative with input from the North Coast Chapter TAI. It intends to depict the challenges and the triumphs of the airmen and women while rendering their service to this country during the time of war. Through their work, students became storytellers, capturing not only the likeness but the spirit of these Ohio pioneers.
More than an art installation, the project unites education, creativity, and community. It connects generations, inspiring travelers with a message of resilience and pride. Each day, thousands are reminded of the Tuskegee Airmen’s bravery and the promise of the young 9th-grade artists who will keep their legacy alive.
